Koh’s Camera Rebrand
Koh’s Camera, a small family-owned shop catering to camera collectors, had maintained the same branding for decades. When the shop closed during Covid, its outdated visual identity no longer reflected the passion and expertise behind the business. The goal of the rebrand was to modernize the company while honoring its legacy, creating a refreshed look that could appeal to both longtime collectors and new customers.
I began by researching the shop’s history, customer base, and visual touchpoints to identify what elements should be preserved versus updated. From there, I developed a new logo, stationery, advertisements, and flyers that combined a contemporary design sensibility with subtle nods to the shop’s heritage. The final brand system balanced nostalgia and modernity, resulting in a cohesive identity that revitalized Koh’s Camera and effectively communicated its services to a broader audience.
The Process
The brief was to rebrand an outdated company. The rebrand included a new logo, stationery, advertisements, and flyers. Koh’s Camera is a small camera shop that closed during Covid that sold and repaired cameras of all varieties for collectors. As a family-owned shop, the company kept its original branding for years which became outdated. This rebrand updated the company while advertising its services.
